Initial selections for the short trail race have been made in accordance with the published selection policy for the World Mountain and Trail Championships in Canfranc on 25-28th September 2025.

The following selected athletes will represent GB&NI in the Short Trail race at the championships:

Short Trail Race (circa 40km, 3000m – TBC)

• Kristian Jones (Swansea Harriers, Doug Stewart)
• Thomas Roach (Lewes AC)

The remaining selections will take place according the rounds and criteria detailed on the selection policy which outlines trials details as well as the process for expressions of interest.
