Weir Archer Academy’s Dillon Labrooy (Jenny Archer) features and with a T54 European bronze over the 400m distance on his CV, as well as a personal best time of 48.70, he’ll be one to watch out for. Luke Deighan (Red Star) is another T54 athlete in the field and he holds a PB of 54.50 from 2019.
Ben Rowlings (Coventry) – a two-time European T34 silver medallist – continues his restart to the season following performances in Nuneaton, and the 24-year-old will be hoping for a strong showing having lowered his lifetime best to 51.65 last season.
Also among the starters is Canadian star and 11-time world champion, Brent Lakatos. The 40-year-old – who is married to Great Britain sprinter and long jumper Stef Reid, who is competing on Friday evening – has one Paralympic gold medal to his name, winning the T53 100m in Rio. He will add to a highly competitive line-up at the Manchester Regional Arena.
